Gallery 307 Art School
Since 1996, Gallery 307 Art School (previously Northbridge School of Visual Arts) has been a specialist centre for teaching art to children. We aim to encourage imagination and creative expression, develop self confidence and cultivate a love of art. Children are taught to observe and be aware of the world around them and develop their own style in a positive, nurturing environment.
Lessons can be theme-based or media-based with clear instructions and specific skills taught. By exploring a variety of mediums and simplifying the language of art we believe children of all ages can be taught the techniques of artmaking.
Process is considered more important than final product with each artwork involving a learning experience not the production of a masterpiece.
KIDS TERM CLASSES (5 - 13 YRS)

Weekly before school, after school and Saturday art classes with a variety of fun and excitement for children 5–13yrs .Each term, children experiment with a variety of mediums through a program of activities which include drawing, painting, mixed media, printing, pottery/sculpture, weaving, mosaics, puppet-making and jewellery-making. SCHOOL HOLIDAY CLASSES

Our holiday program is unique in that it offers a diverse range of sessions to choose from. Children are taken seriously and taught real art skills in a fun way, with freedom to explore their creativity. All materials and visual diaries are provided. Morning and afternoon tea are provided however, students bring their own lunch. Before & After Class Care is available if you need to extend your day (see related courses). KIDS PARTIES

Gallery 307 Art School has been offering exciting art parties for children for over 12 years providing highly professional, friendly teachers and staff to cater for all your needs.
We generally provide one teacher for up to 10 children, one teacher and an assistant for 10-15 children and 2 teachers for 16 and above – larger parties can be arranged however this will incur the cost of an additional teacher(s).
We charge $28 per child plus $120 per teacher and $50 per assistant plus GST. The price includes a template for invitations, art tuition, all materials.
Whatever you choose, a Fun-Art Party at Gallery 307 Art School will amuse, entertain, and inspire. A Fun-Art Party is a truly fun and memorable event for children and adults.
Fun-Art parties are held in our downstairs Gallery and our large outside magical garden and act=t activities take place in our beautiful, light filled upstairs art studio.
The venue is inspiring for all children and the birthday child greets the guests in style, surrounded by art.
When all the guests have arrived, the art party begins and generally runs for about 2 hours including 1.5 hrs studio time.
Children are so excited to take home their treasured artworks there is no need for anything extra.
Program:
Children work upstairs on their artwork for around 50 minutes
Short break of approx. 10 minutes (generally includes a light snack and fruit /drink provided by you) work then resumes for another 60 minutes
The children then come downstairs into our beautiful magical garden where the birthday candles are lit and cake as well as a few sweet treats are offered.
Parents of the Birthday child may join in the art party, relax downstairs in the garden over a glass of wine or entertain the other parents and family members.
It is a much less stressful (and more relaxing) experience than holding a party at home!
Children are entertained and inspired for the full 2 hours.
Suggested Party Activities and Themes:
Every Fun-Art party is tailor-made to suit your child. If your child has a special request for an activity or theme we will generally be able to cater for their requests. It is fun to allow each child to paint their own idea, so each artwork becomes a special individual masterpiece.
