START ART SCHOOL is an independent studio based in a spacious, light-filled setting in Willoughby.
Since 2016, we have focused on teaching art exclusively to school-aged children, offering a diverse range of mediums through a fun and engaging program.
Our approach encourages creative thinking in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. We believe there is no “right” or “wrong” way to create art. By removing the fear of failure, children are free to explore, express themselves, and build confidence in their own creativity. Here, every attempt is seen as a chance to learn and grow.
We view creativity as a vital skill for navigating the modern world.
Founder Vivienne du Toit completed a four-year design degree and spent 12 years working in the design industry before becoming an exhibiting artist and art teacher in 2002.
Over the past 24 years, Vivienne has taught art in both Sydney and Singapore. She is especially passionate about inspiring children to discover their creative potential.
