Terpsichore Dance Company is a dance studio located in Turramurra in Sydney's North Shore. We cater our dance classes in several styles to all ages and ability levels. Our focus is teaching dance techniques, dance performance, safe dance, dance history and nurturing the love of dance. Our objective is to provide high-quality dance education in a warm and friendly environment.
Our successful dance company provides a safe and fun atmosphere for learning different styles of dance and maintaining a place that everyone treats as their second home. We educate and train technical dancers, inspire creativity and individuality within the dance industry and provide and help all walks of life achieve fitness through dance.
CHILDREN CLASSES

Our children’s programs at TDC proudly provide your child with a warm and inviting start to dance and performance skills. Our incorporation of a selection of ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre and acrodance classes, catered to all ages, provides our students with a friendly social dance environment, within a professional standard of both staff and studios.
Our staff recognize every student as an individual, and work towards incorporating all students into dance skills, styles and performance in a way that develops your child as a dancer within an age appropriate and engaging environment. At TDC, we are well aware of the commitments placed on students in and outside of school hours, and as such, our weekly class timetables are designed so that your child can comfortably enjoy the love of dance without effecting other outside commitments.
Our programs are broken down into age specific groups;
- Preschool Dance Program – ages 2-5 years
- Junior Dance Program – ages 5-7 years
- Intermediate Dance Program – ages 8-12 years
- Senior Dance Program – ages 13+ years
BABYBALLET TINIES (2-3 YEARS)

Get your little one moving to the music! This class is for children ready to participate in a class on their own, this promotes learning independence in the child and helps to prepare them for their school years. The class is 45 minutes which combines ballet and tap dance styles together.
This fun class introduces basic ballet and tap steps while teaching musicality and free movement with the use of props, songs and activities. Themed lessons for each term provide an atmosphere of learning different ideas and movements. Our Tinies students are offered the opportunity to perform a tap routine in our end of year recital.
BABYBALLET MOVERS (4-5 YEARS)

This class is for the young child aged 4-5 years who is interested in learning to dance and likes to move to the music. Students are introduced to three styles of dance, ballet, jazz and tap in this one hour class.
They learn basic ballet, jazz and tap steps with introduction to technique as well as learning musicality, rhythm and free movement with the use of props and themed lessons. Our Movers students are offered the opportunity to perform a jazz routine in our end of year recital.
